Yet another day of preparations before final departure.
Going trough huge piles of documents in order to find out what to bring and what to leave behind.
Travel insurance, Vaccination certificates, credit cards, passports, drivers license, PADI dive cards, registration and Carnet Du Passage for the LandCruiser.....etc.
Copies of all of the above, in case it gets lost or stolen.
I managed yesterday to sell Bettinas Mitsubishi Pajero, last minute I would say, taking into consideration that we leave on monday 10 th.
We have been so focused on all the preparations that we almost forgot to put it up for sale.
Today I did the final checkup of the equipment which will allow us to update our internet pages.

This "handy little thing" allows us to upload our images and text to our internet server, using Inmarsat geostationary system of satellites.
Believe it or not but it is actually capable of providing full ISDN capability in the most remote corners of the world.
It also provides Packet Data capability allowing for always being on the net and only paying for the amount of traffic, similar to GPRS.
Fortunately Inmarsat has a very transparent billing policy, but not necessarily cheap !!.
Don't even ask what I had to pay for this device !!.
I can most likely sell it to CNN when we get back home, because it is identical to what they are using to transmit their reports from e.g. Afghanistan.
If we encounter a revolution in some of the middle or south american countries, we can grab the digital video camera, report about storming of the palace building, transfer the video clip to our laptop and compress it to MPEG and thereafter upload to the highest bidding news station, MAYBE !.
